About a year ago we were invited to submit a proposal for a muffler for a newly designed diesel locomotive in an Asian country.
In close collaboration with a well-known European engineering firm and engine supplier, we tackled a wide range of technical challenges.
The result is a final product that not only meets all quality standards incl. EN-15085, but also fits within the extremely limited available space - while at the same time meeting the customer's strict requirements in terms of both noise reduction and maximum back pressure.
The first two prototypes of the silencers are now complete and, apart from the final packaging, ready for shipment.
Later this year, several dozen additional units are planned.
