We started in 1978 by installing engines in inland waterway vessels. Demand for noise reduction and emission control soon increased, so we developed our own silencers, aftertreatment systems and mounting systems. We built a strong reputation in the maritime world and later also in the industrial sector and the energy sector. Once again, the requirements became stricter. Not only in the area of noise and emissions, but also in the area of environmental friendliness.

At Discom, three disciplines work seamlessly together: noise reduction, emission reduction, and heat recovery. It is precisely that combination that makes our solutions distinctive. We design complete systems in which all components; silencer, aftertreatment system, suspension, compensators, are aligned with each other. The goal: maximum efficiency, low emissions, and a quiet installation, without compromising safety, space, and ease of maintenance.

Pioneering work? We don’t shy away from that … we seek it out. Together with 35 colleagues, we are working on the future. Solutions that are innovative where possible and proven where necessary. Our engineers are up to date with the latest technology, know the laws and regulations of today and tomorrow, and anticipate the energy transition.

We test, validate, run pilots with customers, and ensure compliance with international standards. The result: systems that perform more quietly, emit less, and deliver greater efficiency.
