Water-cooled marine valves – WCV for quiet and safe exhaust
The Discom WCV series is specially developed for naval ships, patrol vessels and other ships where safety, stealth and reliability are top priorities. By using internal water cooling, the system prevents the hull from overheating and reduces the ship's infrared signature. This makes the ship more difficult to detect with heat-seeking equipment.
The WCV has been tested to 250g shock load and is manufactured from high-quality materials such as CuNiFe and 254SMO. These alloys are ideally suited to aggressive maritime conditions thanks to their exceptional corrosion resistance. In addition, the valves are available in pneumatically or electrically controlled variants, both with manual override for emergency situations.
As standard, the WCV is supplied with an indicator, solenoid valve and air noise silencer. Optional features include a digital position indicator, additional flange connections or a fully leak-tight design. The valve can be used up to an exhaust gas temperature of 600 °C with a pressure drop of only 5–8 mbar.
The WCV complies with IP65 and can be certified by, among others, DNV, LR, BV and RINA. Request specifications or a configuration proposal now.
