SCR, DOC and DPF explained – choose the right emission solution
Are you involved in the procurement, engineering, or project development of engines and exhaust systems? Then insight into emission components is essential. Discom helps you get started with a clear explanation of the three most important technologies:
- SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction): reduces NOx through urea injection and catalytic reaction.
- DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst): oxidizes CO, HC and converts NO into NO2.
- DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter): captures soot particles up to 99%.
Depending on the application – marine, rail, generator or industry – Discom proposes an optimal configuration. In doing so, we take into account space, noise level, service frequency and legislation such as Stage V or IMO Tier III.
Our systems are available as separate modules or as an integrated skid. Would you like to know which technology is suitable for your engine or project? Download our comparison matrix or contact us directly.
