Noise reduction
Noise reduction in engine exhaust gas systems can be achieved by ensuring that as little vibration transfer as possible can take place to the surrounding structure (structure-borne noise) and by installing damping components such as, for example, silencers (airborne noise). As the noise levels become lower, it becomes increasingly difficult to achieve high reductions and a great deal of knowledge and experience is required.
